Cross-border shipping comes with paperwork, and over the past year we have put a lot of work into handling more of it automatically in Packrooster Shipping. Here is what has changed for stores shipping across borders.
VOEC handling for shipments to Norway is now smarter. VOEC is applied in line with each carrier's own requirements, and it is used only when item values fall under the Norwegian threshold, so the right shipments are declared the right way. For shipments from Finland to Norway under the value limit, electronic customs documents are created automatically, which removes the printed paperwork from those routes.
We also added incoterm control per shipping zone, so you can set DAP or DDP for each destination and decide who covers duties and taxes. For stores shipping to Australia, a UPS ARN, or Australian Reference Number, can be set for each shipping location and is included in customs documents. Commercial invoices are generated automatically for the carriers and routes that require them.
The result is less manual customs work and fewer held shipments. These updates are already live across the relevant carriers in your account.
