Short answer: the main nShift alternatives for a Shopify store are Packrooster, Shipmondo, Sendcloud and Shipit. All four print labels on your own carrier agreements and show pickup points at checkout. Packrooster covers the widest set of Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish carriers, and it also connects to nShift, so you don't have to move everything at once.
TL;DR
- nShift is built for scale. It has a very large carrier network and ERP and WMS integrations, and many Nordic businesses have used it (or Unifaun and Consignor before it) for years. For a Shopify store that only needs labels and pickup points at checkout, it can be more than you need.
- nShift Delivery now has public prices. On 20 October 2026, the month-to-month Essential plan started at €37 a month for 85 shipments. Batch label printing starts on Professional. nShift's Shopify apps are priced on top: the nShift Delivery app has a free plan, and nShift Checkout costs $20 a month.
- The alternatives price differently. On your own carrier agreements, all four charge a monthly fee plus a fee per label, with no shipment bands. Shipmondo, Sendcloud and Shipit can also sell you shipping on their own agreements if you don't have any.
- You can mix. Packrooster has an nShift integration. You can keep some carriers on nShift and connect the rest to Packrooster directly.
- Nordic note: check carrier coverage for the countries you ship from, not just the ones you ship to. Packrooster has direct integrations with Posti and Matkahuolto in Finland, PostNord, DHL Freight Sweden, Budbee, Instabox, Airmee and CityMail in Sweden, Bring and Helthjem in Norway and GLS Denmark. Shipmondo is strongest in Denmark. Shipit is built around Finland.
What nShift is, and why merchants look for alternatives
nShift is a Nordic delivery management company. It took the nShift name in 2021, when Unifaun and Consignor combined under one brand, and it now covers more than 1,000 carriers through its network. Many Swedish, Norwegian and Danish merchants know it from the Unifaun or Pacsoft Online days.
On Shopify, nShift shows up in a few ways:

The two nShift apps on Shopify are new. nShift Checkout (Official) launched in March 2026 and nShift Delivery in June 2026, and neither had any reviews on 20 October 2026. There is also an older third-party connector, nShift Checkout Pro by Uniwin ($20-$40 a month, 4.7 from 10 reviews).
Merchants who search for an nShift alternative usually say one of three things:
- The plan is priced for more volume than they have. nShift Delivery is sold in shipment bands. A store sending 120 parcels a month pays for the 125-shipment band, and a store that grows past its band pays €0.16-€0.44 per extra shipment on Essential, depending on the band.
- They need several products to get the full checkout. Labels come from nShift Delivery, while the checkout comes from one of the Shopify apps, and each has its own price.
- They want something simpler. nShift is built to connect warehouses, ERPs and many sales channels. A single Shopify store often doesn't need that.
If none of those apply, nShift may still be the right choice. More on that below.

Two notes on the table. "Pickup points at checkout" means the customer picks a specific pickup point or locker before paying, with the list coming live from the carrier. And the carrier lists aren't directly comparable: some are an app's own integrations, others are carriers available through a platform or network. Check that the exact services you use today are on the list before you switch.
The alternatives, one by one
Packrooster Shipping
Packrooster is a Shopify shipping app built in Finland for Nordic stores. You connect your own carrier agreements, and the carriers invoice you directly. Packrooster doesn't sell shipping or show carrier prices.
Where it differs from nShift: it lives inside Shopify admin instead of a separate platform, every plan has unlimited carriers, and labels are priced per label instead of in shipment bands. Pickup points at checkout start on the $29 Standard plan, and checkout rates can follow rules by weight, product, postcode, zone or customer. The all features page lists everything, including multi-location shipping, customs documents, paperless trade and the Packrooster API.
Best fit: a store in Finland, Sweden, Norway or Denmark that has its own carrier agreements and wants the main Nordic carriers in one Shopify checkout.
Shipmondo
Shipmondo is a Danish shipping platform with a Shopify app. You can ship on Shipmondo's own rates on the Free plan, or bring your own agreements on Essentials (€11 a month, up to two agreements) or Pro (€29 a month, unlimited). Label fees on your own agreements run from €0.08 down to €0.03, and connecting an agreement costs a one-off €60 per carrier customer number.
Its strongest market is Denmark, with dao and GLS, and it covers Norwegian carriers such as Bring and Helthjem as well.
Best fit: a Danish or Norwegian store, or one that wants to ship on the platform's rates for a while before signing its own agreements.
Sendcloud
Sendcloud is a Dutch shipping platform with the largest review base of the apps here. Its paid plans let you use your own carrier contracts, and Lite costs €35 a month plus €0.12 per label on monthly billing (€28 and €0.10 on yearly billing). Lite has a cap of 400 labels a month; above that, each label costs €0.15 more.
Sendcloud's pricing FAQ lists eight European countries as fully supported sender countries, plus Sweden and Denmark for merchants with a direct carrier contract. Check that your country and your carriers are covered before you move.
Best fit: a store that ships widely across Europe and wants tracking pages and a returns portal from the same tool.
Shipit Delivery Checkout
Shipit is a Finnish shipping service and an aggregator. On its Free package you ship on Shipit's own carrier agreements and pay per parcel, with no monthly fee. With your own agreements, you pay €9.90-€99.90 a month plus €0.14-€0.20 per label. Our Packrooster vs Shipit comparison goes through the packages in detail.
Best fit: a Finnish store without carrier agreements of its own yet.
Keep part of your setup on nShift
Switching doesn't have to be all or nothing. Packrooster has an nShift integration, so nShift works as one of your carrier connections inside Packrooster, next to the carriers you connect directly.
That gives you a few options:
- Move in stages. Connect your main parcel carriers, say PostNord and Bring, directly in Packrooster and keep the rest running through nShift. Move them over when you're ready.
- Keep the carriers that only nShift gives you. If a freight or niche carrier is only available to you through nShift's network, keep it there and run your everyday parcels through Packrooster.
- Keep your nShift account while you test. Run both side by side for a few weeks. Your Shopify checkout, rate rules and label printing are set up once in Packrooster, whichever route a shipment takes.
While you run both, you pay for both: your nShift subscription and your Packrooster plan.
Check your Shopify plan first
Apps that put live pickup points in your checkout usually rely on Shopify's third-party carrier-calculated shipping. According to Shopify, it's included on Advanced and Plus. Grow stores can add it for a monthly fee or get it by switching to annual billing. Basic stores don't get it.
Packrooster's checkout rates and pickup points need it. nShift lists Grow, Advanced and Plus as the plans nShift Checkout fits, and Uniwin's nShift Checkout Pro says its carrier rates need it. If you're on Basic, the cheapest fix is often Grow on annual billing.
This matters more in the Nordics than in most markets. In a March 2026 survey, 43% of Swedish online shoppers collected their latest parcel at a pickup point and 20% used a parcel locker (Transportföretagen Paketindex). Our guide to pickup points at checkout explains the setup.
What it costs: one example
Here is one store: its own agreements with three carriers, 250 labels a month, pickup points at checkout, one location and monthly billing. The carriers' own freight charges are left out, because they're the same whichever app you use. Prices are list prices excluding VAT, checked 20 October 2026.

Packrooster's prices are in US dollars and converted at the ECB reference rate of 19 October 2026 (1 EUR = 1.1225 USD), so 12 × $74 = $888 = €791.09. Packrooster's Standard plan is used because pickup points at checkout start there, and its label fee drops from $0.20 to $0.10 after the first 200 labels each month. Shipit's Start package with two extra agreements is cheaper here than Growth (€49.90 + 250 × €0.16 = €89.90). nShift's price page doesn't say whether VAT is included. Yearly billing lowers the price for Shipmondo, Sendcloud and nShift.
At this volume, four of the options sit within about €200 of each other over a year. nShift's month-to-month plans cost more at 250 labels, and more again if you want batch printing. The order changes with volume and with how many carriers you need, so run your own numbers before you decide.
Which alternative fits your store
A Finnish store moving off nShift. You need Posti and Matkahuolto first, often PostNord too. Packrooster and Shipit both cover them. Packrooster runs on your own agreements; Shipit also lets you ship on its agreements if you don't have your own yet.
A Swedish store. PostNord, DHL Freight and a locker or home-delivery carrier such as Budbee or Instabox are the usual mix. Packrooster has direct integrations with all of them, and Shipmondo and Sendcloud are worth checking too. A business that should probably stay on nShift. If you run an ERP or WMS that already talks to nShift, ship from several warehouses with freight and parcel carriers, or sell through many channels besides Shopify, nShift is built for that. You can still use Packrooster for the Shopify checkout and keep nShift where it works.
How to do this in Shopify with Packrooster
Packrooster Shipping is made by Approosters in Finland. It doesn't sell shipping or show carrier prices. You connect your carriers, and they bill you directly.
- List what you use in nShift today. Write down your carriers, customer numbers and the services you book, such as PostNord Service Point, Bring Pakke til hentested or Posti parcel lockers.
- Install Packrooster from the Shopify App Store and pick a plan. Pickup points at checkout are included from the Standard plan and need carrier-calculated shipping on your Shopify plan.
- Connect your carriers. Add your customer numbers for PostNord, Bring, Posti and the others you use. To keep some carriers on nShift for now, connect your nShift account as well.
- Set your checkout rates. Choose which services customers see and what you charge for each: flat rates, free shipping over a basket value, or rules by weight, product, postcode, zone or customer. Pickup points and service lists come live from the carriers.
- Print labels. One at a time, in bulk or automatically when an order is paid. For parcels outside the EU, such as Norway, the UK or Switzerland, Packrooster creates the customs documents from your product data.
